The formation of the Western Province Rugby Football Union Executive Committee in 1992 marked a turning point in South African rugby history. In a time when the sport was divided along racial lines — with separate unions for Coloured, Black, and White players — a unified vision emerged. On 5 February 1992, representatives from all factions began meeting with a shared purpose: to build one non-racial, democratic rugby body.

Through deep deliberation, mutual respect, and unwavering commitment, they crafted a new constitution. On 4 March 1992, the Western Province Rugby Football Union was officially born — a symbol of unity, resilience, and transformation.

The 1992–1995 Executive Committee led the charge during these formative years. Their work laid the foundation for a stronger, more inclusive future — one that continues to grow and inspire generations of players, coaches, and supporters across the Western Cape.
