Founded over 98 years ago, Tygerberg RFC (Known as Tygers RFC pre. 1992) has a rich and proud history of rugby excellence. In 1992, we achieved a significant milestone in our journey when we successfully amalgamated with two other local rugby clubs, namely Ravensmead RFC and Young Eagles. This merger positioned us as one of the strongest and most competitive forces in the WP region and has remained a cornerstone of our club’s identity. Since then, we have consistently competed in the Western Province Super League A (WP SLA), which is the highest club rugby league in our region.
