Strand RC was found in 1935, and is currently 90 years old. We are a true Community bassed rugby club. We come from the small fishermens town called Strand. We have four teams from U/20 to 1st Team. From this community bassed club we produced Springboks & Junior Springboks like: Quinton Daniels, Earl Rose, Dillan Leyds, Tristan Leyds. Proteas like: Jaap Bekkers, Hennie Shields, Turjey Shields, Pieter Shields etc, Provincial Players like: Ramone Sameuls, Naaim Thomas, Ronnie Hendricks, Enver Rose, Jody Rose, Rodger Daniels, Gerswin Leyds, Raymond Fredericks,Virgil Shields etc. Our current Chairman is Rodger Daniels who has been with the Club for 46 years (2025).
