The Scottsdene Central Rugby Club was established in 1992 as part of the unification set up taking place in South Africa at the time and three of the local clubs namely Northpine,Scottsdene and Watsonia decided to amalgamate.The club is situated in a sub-economic area where unemployment is high and as part of our campaign to become a community orientated team we took into consideration the crime rate and we are pleased that to date we have the support of the community - Presently we field three(4) teams in the union’s competitions as well as an over 35 team(Social) - we also had several players represented the club in Wp (disa teams) - we also had exco members represented the club on wp sub committees (the Late Mr Lional Thys) and currently our Chairman Mr Jannie Andreas (disciplinary) - we are currently playing super league c (WP)
