Established in 1992, Delft United Rugby Football Club was born. It was born through the vision of bringing the sport to the community of Delft, an area known for social ills such as gangsterism, the addiction to drugs, the stereotyping of the common community.

Associated to the Western Province Rugby Football Union, the club had faced a lot of adversities.

In 2022, Delft United experienced a surge in interest and a boost of talent coming into the club. These players came from all walks of life and from various racial and religious backgrounds with one common factor evident, they all came from Delft. Most of all, they were and are a committed group of young men that wanted to see the club grow and achieve great historic heights.
From 2022, the club had garnered 60 youth Members, 36 Females, 168 senior members and a management and coaching staff with the appropriate skills and leaderships abilities to grow in all aspects of organic growth for any club.
The 2024 season was one of great success for the club in its ability to show the entire WPRFU that Delft United RFC is an upcoming force to be measured by terms of performance and a force to be reckoned with.
Playing in the regions for many years was very challenging. Looking back on the year 2024, The club has had some major victories on the field. Having won silver in 2023, the Club was determined to win the league to be promoted in 2024 for the 2025 season to Super League C. Consistency, dedication and passion for the game was the central theme. Week after week, the players dedication showed, their discipline improved, their demeanor, more focused and clinical. Their pride in the game and their appreciation to be playing reflected through their style of play and their match day temperament and commitment.
We have exceeded many expectations, met many goals and have proven that trials and tribulations can lead to tremendous victories if we apply the basics in all aspects of the game and give the commitment required to be an inspiration to the community, giving a sense of pride to a stereotype created and a false perception envisaged. Our Under 19 win their WPRFU League, the seniors won the Northern, Top 9 Promotion Leagues in 2024. We will be playing Super League C in 2025. Historical moments for
