Busy Bee RFC was established in District Six in 1923 by migrant workers from the EasternCape. In 1937 it was forced to move to Langa Township where it currently is Busy Bee RFC produced its first Springbok Mr. Temba Mdlalo who captained Western Province in 1964, playing at No.8, and captained the “Black” Springbok team in1965.

In 2008, winger Jongi Nokwe a product of the Club’s development structure became the second Busy Bee Springbok scoring a record 4 tries in a test match

In 2008 the club formed a women’s team from the rise and interest of girls in the sport for years the Club has dominated selection in the WP women’s team

The Club has produced a couple of Women Springboks

o Nokubonga Siko- 2012
o Azisa Mkiva- Current

Mr Msuthu Kewana the Director of Busy Bee RFC is one of the longest serving members of the Club andalso serves at the WPRFU Trustee
Mr Siyabonga Hani former Chairman of the club serves as WPRFU Exco member
